Wade Barrett is a member of the RAW roster as of 2017. He has held a total of six championships throughout his career, he is a 1-time Hardcore Champion, a 1-time Intercontinental Champion, a 1-time NXT Tag Team Champion with Drew McIntyre (as The United Kingdom) as well as a 3-time World Heavyweight Champion. Barrett currently holds the record of longest reigning and most successful Hardcore Champion as he held it for 70 days (10 weeks) with 9 defenses. He also won the 2014 Royal Rumble after last eliminating Jake Roberts .
Intercontinental Championship (2012)
Barrett would continue his success on Raw until being drafted over to SmackDown, continuing his success there he was voted into a Intercontinental Championship Elimination Fatal 4-Way at Over The Limit against Randy Orton, Sheamus & Brock Lesnar. The match ended with Barrett defeating Orton to win his first championship and ending Orton's 112 day reign.
Barrett had his first championship defence at No Way Out defending against top newcomer AJ Styles who had won a debut Battle Royal the previous episode of SmackDown before the event. Despite his best efforts, Styles could not defeat Barrett and Barrett successfully retained his Intercontinental Championship.
Barrett defended his championship next against Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank, and Hunico at SummerSlam. On September 3rd, Barrett lost his championship in a scramble match to Zack Ryder, he challenged Ryder in a rematch at Night of Champions but failed to recapture his championship. Barrett got another opportunity for the championship at Hell in a Cell but was unsuccessful once again.
On the November 9th edition of SmackDown, Barrett was entered into the inaugral Hardcore Championship Fatal 4-Way Match, the match was won by Brock Lesnar. Barrett got another championship opportunity at Survivor Series for the new NXT Championship, however, it was won by Sin Cara.
NXT Tag Team Champion with Drew McIntyre (2013)
As part of the 2013 Supplemental Draft, Barrett was drafted from SmackDown to RAW. He quickly moved over to NXT, however, teaming with Drew McIntyre, the two quickly defeated The Miz & John Morrison to become NXT Tag Team Champions.
Royal Rumble Winner & 3-Time World Heavyweight Champion (2014)
At Royal Rumble, Barrett won the traditional Royal Rumble Match after entering at #40, he last eliminated Jake Roberts to earn a world championship match at WrestleMania III. On the February 13th edition of NXT, Barrett was attacked by his United Kingdom allies, being accused of selling the group out, ending Barrett's alliance with the faction.
On the February 21st edition of SmackDown, Barrett made his return, attacking the World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and officially revealing that he would be challenging Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania III. On March 24th, Barrett was drafted from SmackDown to RAW, raising the stakes for his WrestleMania match with Punk, as if Barrett were to win, he would take the championship away from SmackDown to RAW with him. At WrestleMania, Barrett defeated Punk in a 30-Minute Iron Match to win the World Heavyweight Championship, officially bringing the championship to RAW with him. Forcing RAW to send the WWE Championship to SmackDown.
At Backlash, Barrett quickly lost the championship to former partner Drew McIntyre, in an Elimination Fatal 4-Way also featuring Brock Lesnar & Cesaro. At Judgment Day, Barrett regained the championship after Mr. McMahon, the RAW General Manager who was serving as guest referee, hit McIntyre and then gave Barrett a fast count. On June 16th, Barrett lost the championship to Dean Ambrose, after The Shield set their sights on both Barrett & McMahon. At Money in the Bank, Barrett competed in a Triple Threat against Ambrose & McIntyre for the championship, with McIntyre winning the championship a second time. The following night on RAW, Barrett got a rematch in a Battle Royal for McIntyre's championship, with Barrett winning, McIntyre was fired from RAW ending their rivalry.
At Unforgiven, Barrett got his first successful defence under the championship, defeating Cesaro in a competitive matchup. At SummerSlam, Barrett defeated former champions Edge & The Rock in a Triple Threat, pinning Edge off of a Wasteland after Edge had just hit The Rock with his own Rock Bottom move. At Cyber Sunday, Barrett lost the championship after being voted into an Armageddon Hell in a Cell match which was won by Triple H. At Night of Champions, Barrett got his rematch inside Hell in a Cell once again, losing to Triple H.
On December 8th, Barrett defeated Tensai to qualify for the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber at Vengeance. At Vengeance, Barrett was eliminated second from the match by Dean Ambrose.
At King of the Ring, Barrett competed in the King of the Ring Tournament, advancing to the semi-finals before being eliminated by Ryback. At WrestleMania IV, Barrett competed in an Intercontinental Championship Elimination Match, being eliminated by the champion Cesaro. At Over the Limit, Barrett challenged for the WWE Championship in an Elimination 4-Way, being last eliminated by the champion Ryback. On June 22nd, Barrett got another opportunity at Ryback and the championship on RAW, with Ryback retaining again. On August 31st, Barrett won a match to be named the new contender for the Global Championship.
At Night of Champions, Barrett won his match for the championship when Carlito walked out on the match, preventing Barrett from winning the championship, later in the show he teamed with Wolfe to lose to The Outsiders.
Reforming The United Kingdom (2016)
On April 4th, Barrett was drafted to NXT as part of the 2016 Draft. Upon returning, Barrett reformed The United Kingdom as a tag team between him and William Regal. Barrett & Regal earned a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship on the April 20th edition of NXT, defeating The New Day in a contenders match. On May 4th, Barrett & Regal had their championship match, losing to Perfection. Barrett teamed with Regal for another contenders match, this time losing to The Outsiders.
Barrett returned to action on July 6th, doing Regal's dirty work as he attacked and defeated Daniel Bryan, who had began having issues with Regal and NXT management.
The Nexus (2016-present)
On December 15th, Barrett made his return, assisting Daniel Bryan, who was scheduled to face Pentagon Jr. in the main event of NXT, in assaulting both NXT General Manager William Regal backstage, as well as Pentagon's mentor, Vampiro. Bryan then stated that after being pushed around by Regal's management, he had decided to form a rebellion, consisting of people who had been wronged during their NXT tenures. The group were revealed to be named The Nexus, with the first three members assisting Bryan in a four on one main event against Pentagon. The three revealed members, Barrett (who had been fired after failing Regal earlier in the year), Ryback (who had been shoved to the bottom of the NXT ranks and released earlier in the year), and Corey Graves (who had been treated unfairly since losing the NXT Championship in 2014), were given new NXT contracts, as Regal felt he had something to prove to try and stop the group. Bryan later confirmed that there were a total of eight members, and that they would all band together to get retribution on everyone who had crossed them or been treated better than they have.
On April 2nd 2017, Barrett was drafted from ECW to RAW as part of the 2017 Draft.
