He is a 7 time champion as he is a former NXT Tag Team Champion, 2-time World Tag Team Champion & 2-time WWE Tag Team Champion with Shawn Michaels (D-Generation X.) He and Michaels are the first ever NXT Tag Team Champions. Triple H is also a former World Heavyweight Champion as well as the current reigning WWE Champion and 2016 King of the Ring.
Triple H made his WTX Universe debut on the February 10th 2012 edition of SmackDown as a surprise opponent for both Vader and Eddie Guerrero in a triple threat match, however, Guerrero would go on to win the match.
Despite a large lack of success Triple H was given an Intercontinental Championship opportunity at Extreme Rules against the champion Randy Orton in a TLC Match, Orton ended up retaining with Triple H giving him a good challenge.
On November 23rd, Triple H debuted a new faction known as Evolution, the faction consisted of Triple H as the leader as well as Batista & Ric Flair, in their debut match, Batista & Triple H defeated the WWE Tag Team Champions, Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel, in a non-title match.
WWE Tag Team Champion with Shawn Michaels & Draft to NXT (2013-2014)
At WrestleMania II, Triple H distanced himself from Evolution, as Flair was injured by WrestleMania opponents and champions, MNM. Triple H teamed with Shawn Michaels instead, as D-Generation X, the two accompanied by Ric Flair defeated MNM to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. The following week on the Draft edition of NXT, Samoa Joe defeated Christian, earning a draft pick from SmackDown to NXT that saw Triple H drafted to NXT.
DX then lost their championship three weeks later to Evolution at Backlash. Quickly following their loss, on the May 4th edition of NXT, DX defeated New Age Outlaws to become the first ever NXT Tag Team Champions. On the May 15th edition of NXT, DX quickly lost their championships to the team of Tommy Dreamer & Sabu, after the team was aided by The Sandman. At No Way Out, Triple H competed for the NXT Championship inside the Elimination Chamber, being eliminated by Sheamus after submitting to a Full Nelson.
World Heavyweight Champion (2014)
At Cyber Sunday, Triple H was voted into an Armageddon Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship, winning the championship from Wade Barrett by defeating The Rock via submission, marking Triple H's first world championship win. At Night of Champions, Triple H faced Barrett in a Hell in a Cell rematch, defeating Barrett once again. At No Mercy, Triple H lost his championship to Seth Rollins.
Move to SmackDown (2014-2015)
On December 26th, Triple H returned after losing his championship, moving to SmackDown and competing in a Battle Royal to determine the next contender for the WWE Championship, the match was won by Ultimate Warrior. At Royal Rumble, Triple H got an opportunity at the WWE Championship alongside Warrior, being pinned off of an F5 by retaining champion Brock Lesnar.
DX Reunion (2015-2016)
On February 27th, DX reunited when Triple H was saved by Shawn Michaels after one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Konnor attacked Triple H with a weapon getting himself disqualified, Michaels then charged out to stop Konnor from continuing the attack and reuniting the team of DX. At King of the Ring, DX then went on to defeat The Ascension and win their second WWE Tag Team Championship. At WrestleMania IV, DX faced and defeated The Ascension in their rematch. Triple H was then traded from SmackDown to RAW to continue teaming with Shawn Michaels, exchanging their WWE Tag Team Championship for the World Tag Team Championship in the process. At Backlash, DX lost the World Tag Team Championship to Wolfe Pack as Kevin Nash pinned Triple H. At SummerSlam, DX finally got a fair rematch under Extreme Rules, defeating Wolfe Pack to reclaim the World Tag Team Championship. At Night of Champions, DX defended their championship successfully against The Misfits.
Split from Shawn Michaels & WWE Champion (2016-present)
In early 2016, as Shawn Michaels was making his entrance for singles competition, he was attacked from behind by Triple H. Michaels would disappear for a short while with Triple H claiming that he wanted to become WWE Champion and that the attack on Michaels was nothing personal. Michaels made his return as a surprise entrant in the King of the Ring tournament, teaming with Kurt Angle on Raw to face and defeat fellow Raw tournament participants, Triple H & Ryback.
Triple H went on to win the tournament, setting up a WWE Championship Match between Triple H and Randy Orton for WrestleMania V. Shawn Michaels challenged Triple H to a match, stating he could not stop Triple H from getting what he wanted, but wanted just one match with him. In the match, Michaels defeated Triple H. The following week, Michaels used his rivalry with Triple H to get into the head with Randy Orton, stating more people cared about Michaels vs. Triple H than Orton vs. Triple H. Orton gave Michaels a match on the final Raw before WrestleMania with the stipulation that if Michaels could win, it would be a Triple Threat at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship held by Orton. Michaels went on to win the match against Orton, adding himself to the WrestleMania main event. At WrestleMania, Triple H won his first WWE Championship and second world championship, pinning Randy Orton off of a Spinebuster.
The following night on Raw, Triple H tried to reunite Evolution with Ric Flair, Randy Orton & Batista, after all superstars ended up on the Raw brand following the 2016 Draft. Orton & Batista expressed no interest however, stating they both wanted Triple H's championship. Due to this a Triple Threat was set for Backlash between Triple H, the former champion Orton, and former World Heavyweight Champion, Batista. On the same episode of Raw, Flair & Triple H teamed up to defeat WWE Tag Team Champions, Edge & Christian. On the April 18th edition of Raw, Tripel H suffered his first loss as champion, being defeated by Randy Orton off of an RKO. At Backlash, Triple H retained his championship, hitting a Pedigree on and pinning Batista. Following the match, Tyler Breeze cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Although the match was competitive, Triple H once again retained his WWE Championship after a second Pedigree to Breeze.
It was announced that Triple H would then take a few weeks off after the damaged sustained at Backlash. A #1 contenders match took place on the May 2nd edition of Raw between Tyler Breeze & Neville to determine who would next challenge Triple H, the match saw Neville defeat Breeze. On May 16th, Neville's match with Triple H was cancelled as Triple H was sent home and another contenders match took place, Neville lost his contendership to Brock Lesnar, who Triple H will defend against on May 23rd. Triple H got himself disqualified in his championship defense after Lesnar gave him tough competition. Due to this, the following week on Raw, Triple H was made to face Mark Henry in a match in which he was not allowed to get himself disqualified or counted out, nor could there be any involvement from Evolution, or he'd be stripped of his championship. Due to this, Henry defeated Triple H, earning a shot at the championship the next week. Triple H would defeat Mark Henry, however, after cheap shotting Henry as he was making his entrance. At Money in the Bank, Triple H defended his championship in a TLC Match against Lesnar, after persistantly climbing the ladder to retrieve the championship at any given opportunity.
On July 27th, it was revealed that Tyler Breeze would face Triple H for the WWE Championship at Battleground. The following week, Triple H joined Batista & Orton (who had taken out Breeze's partner Tye Dillinger previously) to make a 3 on 1 main event. The three beat down and injured Breeze, cancelling the Battleground main event.
At Roadblock, Triple H retained the WWE Championship once again, defeating Cesaro in just over four minutes off of a single Pedigree. At Royal Rumble, Triple H faced Cesaro again, this time in a much more competitive matchup going 12 minutes before Triple H defeated Cesaro once again via a Pedigree.
On February 13th, Triple H defended his championship against Batista one on one for the first time, the match saw Triple H attack Batista before the match begun, however, Batista brought Triple H to his limits before losing to a third Spinebuster.
At Fastlane, Triple H faced and retained against Shawn Michaels once again, after attacking Michaels before the match had begun.
