This was the fourth Survivor Series event to take place within the WTX Universe, it was also the first event of Season 5 and took place following No Mercy in October, followed by RAW exclusive event Vengeance in December.
The show featured a total of eight matches, the first being a traditional Survivor Series 6-Man Elimination match, pitting RAW superstars Hideo Itami, Drew Galloway & Randy Orton against SmackDown's representatives of Sting, Finn Balor & Batista with the winning team earning three picks from the losing brand to move to their brand. In the second match, Carlito was to defend his Global Championship against top contender Damien Sandow. The third match then saw Booker T earn his United States Championship opportunity after defeating and retiring D-Train in a Best of 7 Series in which Booker won 4-0, earning a shot at the championship held by John Cena for the event. In the fourth match, Kevin Owens challenged for the Intercontinental Championship in a rematch from NXT TakeOver II against Seth Rollins that ended in a no-contest when Matt Hardy, who was banned from the arena at Survivor Series, cost them both the match and interfered.
In the fifth match, Jeri-Show defended the WWE Tag Team Championship as they continued their lengthy reign, facing off against Edge & Christian, who had initially challenged for the championship at No Mercy. In the sixth match, the NXT Championship match saw The Great Destroyer face off against Stardust in a rematch from NXT TakeOver II after it saw a shady finish that lead to Destroyer remaining champion despite Stardust having won. In the semi-main event, The Undertaker faced Bobby Roode in a rematch for the WWE Championship. In the main event, Brock Lesnar challenged for the World Heavyweight Championship against Mark Henry in a rematch from No Mercy.
In the opening match, Itami, Galloway & Orton won for Team RAW to last eliminate Team SmackDown's Finn Balor, after which RAW drafted over Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor & Mark Henry. In the second match, Sandow defeated Carlito by countout when Carlito got himself counted out to lose the match, but keep the championship. In the third match, John Cena defeated Booker T via pinfall off of an Attitude Adjustment to retain. In the fourth match, Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins with a Popup Powerbomb to win the Intercontinental Championship, his first championship win.
In the fifth match, Jeri-Show retained the WWE Tag Team Championship against Edge & Christian. In the sixth match, Stardust defeated The Great Destroyer via pinfall following Cross Rhodes to win the NXT Championship officially. In the semi-main event, The Undertaker quickly defeated and retained against Bobby Roode.
