United States Champion (2013-2014)
As part of the 2013 Supplemental Draft, Sting was drafted from NXT to SmackDown. He began to allign himself with The Brood, at Cyber Sunday, he was voted into a World Heavyweight Championship Match, challenging and losing to defending champion Shelton Benjamin. Later on in the year, Sting moved to RAW, where he defeated The Great Destroyer on the December 16th edition to become United States Champion.
At Royal Rumble, Sting retained the championship successfully against prospect Big E Langston. At No Way Out, Sting defended his championship successfully against another prospect, Seth Rollins. At King of the Ring, Sting then defeated another Shield member in Roman Reigns.
On the March 10th edition of RAW, Sting lost the championship in an open challenge accepted by Randy Orton, Ryback & Eddie Guerrero, with Ryback winning the championship. At Money in the Bank, Sting challenged Bray Wyatt for the NXT Championship, however, he was unsuccessful. After which, Sting was injured and absent for the rest of the year.
Money in the Bank Winner (2015)
Towards the end of 2014, vignettes started airing significantly close to whenever Bray Wyatt would compete, this lead to a match between Wyatt and the returning Sting at Royal Rumble, with Sting defeating Wyatt via Scorpion Deathlock. On March 25th, Sting won a qualifying match to take part in the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania IV. At WrestleMania IV, Sting won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. He was then drafted from NXT to SmackDown as part of the 2015 Supplemental Draft. At Judgment Day, Sting faced and lost to Ultimate Warrior. On June 30th, Sting accepted an invitation from Bobby Roode to defend his Money in the Bank briefcase, losing a ladder match to Roode, and losing the rights to his Money in the Bank contract. Despite losing his contract, on July 3rd, Sting got a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity, getting destroyed by the champion Mark Henry.
At Survivor Series, Sting was decided as a member of Team SmackDown to represent the brand against Team RAW, he teamed with Batista & Finn Balor, with Team SmackDown losing the match, Sting was eliminated first from the match by Drew Galloway. On December 31st, Sting won a Fatal 4-Way match to qualify for the 2016 Royal Rumble Match.
Minimal Appearances & Draft to NXT (2016-2017)
Upon failing to win the Royal Rumble, Sting disappeared for a few months. He finally competed again on the February 20th edition of Main Event in a Battle Royal to determine who would replace Tyler Breeze in the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber at No Way Out. Sting was unsuccessful in the Battle Royal and had not competed for months following.
On April 4th, Sting was drafted to NXT as part of the 2016 Draft. He made his first appearance as a returning NXT superstar on Main Event, losing to Fenix. On June 29th, Sting competed again, this time in a contenders match for the United States Championship, in which Sting defeated R-Truth to earn a match with Booker T at TakeOver: Brooklyn.
At New Years Revolution, Sting challenged for the United States Championship after earning the shot defeating champion Sami Zayn on an episode of NXT, the match was a Triple Threat also featuring Rusev, who was pinned in the match following a Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn for Zayn to retain the championship.
Return to RAW (2017-present)
On April 2nd 2017, Sting was drafted from ECW to RAW as part of the 2017 Draft.
