Seth Rollins is a member of the NXT roster as of 2017. He is one half of the current reigning NXT Tag Team Champions with Roman Reigns, as well as a former World Tag Team Champion with Reigns as The Shield. He is also a 2-time Intercontinental Champion, a former Hardcore Champion and a former World Heavyweight Champion, making Rollins a 6-time champion.
Debut & The Shield (2013-2014)
Seth Rollins made his WTX Universe debut on the January 4th edition of RAW, teaming with Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns as The Shield, the trio attacked and defeated The Great Khali in a Handicap Match. On March 3rd, The Shield invaded SmackDown, attacking n.W.o leader Hulk Hogan to issue a SmackDown vs. RAW challenge for WrestleMania II. At WrestleMania, The Shield lost 0-3 in an Elimination Tag Team Match against n.W.o.
On the April 30th 2013 edtion of RAW, The Shield resurfaced, attacking the WWE Champion, The Undertaker, backstage. The three then began pursuing his WWE Championship. The following week on RAW, Undertaker challenged The Shield to a match, with The Shield defeated Undertaker 3-on-1. Undertaker then challenged them once again the following week, this time to a Gauntlet Match, with The Undertaker defeated each individual member of The Shield. At Extreme Rules, all three members of The Shield challenged The Undertaker in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match, with Dean Ambrose last defeating Seth Rollins to become the new WWE Champion.
At Cyber Sunday, Rollins was voted into an Armageddon Hell in a Cell for Ambrose's WWE Championship, the match saw Ambrose retain the championship. At SummerSlam, Rollins & Reigns challenged for the World Tag Team Championship, losing to the champions The Disciples of Darkness in a Ladder Match.
On the February 6th edition of NXT, Rollins defeated Antonio Cesaro to win the Hardcore Championship. At No Way Out, Rollins challenged Sting for the United States Championship, however, Sting defeated Rollins. On March 12th, Rollins lost the Hardcore Championship to The Great Destroyer.
World Tag Team Champions, Split from The Shield & World Heavyweight Champion (2014)
At Money in the Bank, Rollins & Reigns won the World Tag Team Championship from Rated RKO. At Unforgiven, they got their first official defence, defeating Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady. In a rematch between the two teams on the September 1st edition of RAW, Enzo & Cassady defeated The Shield for the World Tag Team Championship. In a rematch between the two teams on the September 1st edition of RAW, Enzo & Cassady defeated The Shield for the World Tag Team Championship, following the loss, Reigns & Rollins got into a fight with each other backstage. On the September 15th edition of RAW, the two were set to face each other in the main event, however, Ambrose ran out and attacked both former allies, officially ending The Shield. At Night of Champions, the former trio faced off in a triple threat, with Rollins defeated Reigns & Ambrose to become the new contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. At No Mercy, Rollins defeated Triple H to become the second Shield member to win a world championship.
At Survivor Series, Rollins got his first big defence, defeating Chris Jericho to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. At Vengeance, Rollins lost his championship, being eliminated first from the match by Wade Barrett. At Royal Rumble, Rollins got his rematch against new champion The Great Destroyer, losing the match via pinfall following The Downward Spiral.
Intercontinental Champion (2015)
At King of the Ring, Rollins competed in the King of the Ring Tournament, advancing to the semi-finals before being eliminated by The Rock. On March 23rd, The Shield reunited, attacking members of The Legacy backstage, taking out Cody Rhodes and then Ted DiBiase Jr. backstage before revealing that they were behind the attacks, attacking Randy Orton to close the show. At WrestleMania IV, The Shield then went on to defeat The Legacy in a 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Match, with no members of The Shield being eliminated. The following night on RAW, Rollins was seperated from The Shield as he was drafted from RAW to NXT as part of the 2015 Draft. On June 17th, Rollins accepted an open challenge from Cesaro, defeating him to win the Intercontinental Championship. At Unforgiven, Rollins quickly lost the championship to Bret Hart. On August 5th, Rollins defeated Hart in their rematch to recapture the Intercontinental Championship.
At Cyber Sunday, Rollins retained the championship against Matt Hardy in a Steel Cage. At NXT TakeOver II, Rollins faced Kevin Owens in a championship defence that was interupted by Matt Hardy, who attacked both men causing a no contest result.
At Survivor Series, Rollins and Owens faced off in a rematch with Hardy banned from the building, the match saw Owens defeat Rollins, ending Rollins' second Intercontinental Championship reign. At TakeOver: Brooklyn, Rollins lost his rematch once again to Owens. On December 31st, Rollins defeated The Miz to qualify for the 2016 Royal Rumble match.
NXT Tag Team Champions (2016-present)
At New Years Revolution, Rollins & Reigns defended their championship in a rematch against Luke Harper & Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family, with Reigns pinning Rowan off of a Superman Punch for the win.
